Picture Book Completed!
Mama Knew a Chicken, a picture book about my own Mom and a real chicken she named Ca-Ca, is completed and I am shopping it around. Here’s a tease:
Mama knew a chicken before she knew me.
Mama knew a chicken who sat upon her knee.
Upon her knee
In a swing
That hung from a tree.
It will make a great interactive preschool storytime book!
Dad used to draw farm animals without picking up his pencil. If you start at the back of Ca-Ca’s wing, you can draw her without picking up your pencil! Try it by tracing her first, then make Ca-Ca freehand. Enjoy!
